Are there any entry level positions for freelance illustrators/writers in Chicago, IL?

I am interested in entering some drawings for public display and I want to know if there any company/organizations in Chicago that would want freelance illustrators?

There are two great sources for freelance work that I've used.

One -- www.craigslist.org
Two -- www.sologig.com

Are there any entry level positions for freelance illustrators/writers in Chicago, IL?
